Science with Trish

    Yesterday me and my class went to science in Room 19 we learnt about density by making rainbows with blue made with a sugar base,green with less sugar,oil and red with no sugar at all.This was the order we did it in ... blue, green, yellow, red then we did it the other way round when we did it this way it made the exact same rainbow by density so think it like this we have a balloon it is very light because it is filled with gas we also have a marble since it's solid the balloon is lighter that means the marble is denser.

                                       The science roadshow                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             On Tuesday my class went to the science roadshow at Hastings Intermediate.We stayed there for two hours, there were two shows called Am I living? and Fire and ice.Imagine little dots moving around, the more they move the hot it gets the slower they move the colder they get.Things can get hotter and hotter but there is a point that things can't get colder because things won't get slower then stopping all together.This roadshow taught me about light,atoms,optical illusions,sound and how long things live.

MTG trip

Last Thursday my class room 4 went to the MTG trip, we learnt about the big earthquake in Napier.We got to use a green screen and act as people in the earthquake once I was a girl called joy,a sailor and a reporter we also learnt half of Napier was under water until the earthquake.
